Śiva Sahasranāma Stotra: The 1008 Names of Lord Shiva (2020)

'The Śiva Sahasranāma Stotra is a hymn recounting the 1008 names of Lord Shiva. All of the 1008 names of Lord Shiva can be found in the Śiva Purana – Kotirudra Samhita (Book IV – Chapter 35, 1-133) and in the Book 13 (Anushasana Parva) of the Mahabharata. According to the Ahirbudhanya Samhita, "Vishnu, in the form of Chakra, was held as the ideal of worship for kings desirous of obtaining universal sovereignty", a concept associated with the Bhagavata cult in the Puranas, a religious condition traceable to the Gupta period, which also led to the Chakravartin concept. The concept of universal sovereignty possibly facilitated the syncretism of Krishna and Vishnu and reciprocally reinforced their military power and heroic exploits; with the kshatriya hero, Krishna preserving order in the phenomenal world while the composite Vishnu is the creator and upholder of the universe supporting all existence. Chakra Perumal is the personified deification of Vishnu's Sudarshana Chakra.'

Tara Devi: Maha-Bodhi Mandir - Bodhgaya, India

"Guru Mother Tara is filled with loving kindness and compassion towards you and all living beings; and is looking at you all the time. Nectar beams emitted from her heart enter your body and mind, and purify you. Just as a glass bottle is filled with milk, your body is filled with nectar, purifying all your karma, where all the suffering, sickness and spirit harm come from. Those sufferings collected from beginningless rebirth are completely removed. Your body becomes in the nature of white light, clear, like crystal, and your mind becomes totally pure. Chant the mantra: OM TARE TUTTARE TURE SOHA with this visualization. At the end, recite this extremely powerful prayer for success, not only for mundane success, but for spiritual success, to cease the causes of suffering—delusion and karma—and to attain the path of enlightenment."

Buddhist Monk - Thai Folk Art (2014)

"In the last half of the 20th century, the vast majority of Thailand's rainforest were lost. Millions of villagers in the forest were (sometimes violently) driven from their homes as villages were bulldozed over to make room for eucalyptus plantations... Forest monks in Thailand were on the front line in the battle against logging companies and eucalyptus farmers to preserve Thailand's rainforests."

HH the 14th Dalai Lama - Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony

"The new cycle of protest and violent repression, which started in Tibet in September of 1987 and culminated in the imposition of martial law in the capital, Lhasa, in March of this year, was in large part a reaction to this tremendous Chinese influx. Information reaching us in exile indicates that the protest marches and other peaceful forms of protest are continuing in Lhasa and a number of other places in Tibet, despite the severe punishment and inhumane treatment given to Tibetans detained for expressing their grievances. The number of Tibetans killed by security forces during the protest in March and of those who died in detention afterwards is not known but is believed to be more than two hundred. Thousands have been detained or arrested and imprisoned, and torture is commonplace."

Making Offerings to the Pretas - Hungry Ghosts

"Pretas suffer heavily from hunger and thirst, not finding even a drop of water or a spoonful of food for hundreds of thousands of eons. They suffer from incredible exhaustion, disappointment, heat, and cold. In particular, pretas experience three types of obscuration: outer, inner, and food obscuration. The Yeshe Karda (Transcendental Wisdom Star-Arrow) practice enables every single preta to receive drink."
